CONNECT
For people to enter into relationship with God through the gospel of Christ, for people to respond to Christ in faith and repentance (Rom 10:1)
- For the gospel to be shared and responded to in our weekly gatherings, personal relationships, special events, regular studies, groups, etc.
- For God to be worshiped and glorified in His church at East Auburn
- For Christ to be remembered and honored in communion
- For our church body to love one another as Christ has loved us and to love our neighbor as ourselves (Mt 22:39, Jn 13:34)
- Carrying out one another commands (Jn 13:34)
- Demonstrating to a watching world that we are Christ’s disciples (Jn 13:35)
- For people to connect with God and one another through special events, weekend services, ministries, and personal relationships, especially for those who are isolated to experience the love of Christ through connection with God and relationship with others
- For a pure and sincere devotion to Christ (2 Cor 11:3)
For us to be known for our love for one another (John 13:35)
GROW
- For people to grow in their understanding and application of God’s Word through weekend services, Bible studies, small groups, resources, and personal devotions.
- For God to fill us with the knowledge of His will, that we may live a life worthy of and pleasing to the Lord, that we would bear fruit in every good work, that we would grow in the knowledge of God, that we would be strengthened with all power through His glorious might, that we would have endurance and patience, that we would be thankful (Col 1:9-12)
- For growth in spiritual wisdom, wisdom from above (James 1:5)
- For people to grow in the likeness of Christ through loving God and others, living a life of humility, producing the fruit of the Spirit, abiding in Christ, and through serving God and others with their time, talent, and treasure.
- For a deeper understanding of the love of Christ (Ephesians 3:14-18)
- For growth in unity and harmony in our church body (Jn 17:20-21)
- For our conduct to be worthy of the gospel of Christ (Phil 1:27)
- For people to grow deeper in their relationship with God through classes, personal devotions, sharing their faith, gathered worship, and discipleship.
For people to grow in the christian graces by adding to their faith; virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness and love in order that we would not be ineffective or unfruitful in our knowledge of Christ (2 Peter 1:5-9)
SERVE
- For East Auburn to serve God by serving each other and our community
- For our service to be sincere, an outward expression of our love for God and one another
- For our church body to use their unique gifts, talents and abilities to build up Christ’s church and to serve His people
- For reliance on God’s strength as we serve and minister
- To learn humility and compassion through serving
- For our hearts to be changed and refreshed through serving
- To experience the joy of serving (Acts 20:35, “It is more blessed to give than to receive”)
- That our church would have peace and be built up, that we would walk in the fear of the Lord and the comfort of the Holy Spirit, that we would multiply (Acts 9:31)
For our church body to engage in serving Christ together through serving each other and our community (to be of “one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel” Phil 1:27)
